Our trip outside of the convention was pretty uneventful. We drove all night from San Francisco to Las Vegas, stopping briefly in Baker for breakfast at the "world famous" Bun Boy.

The decision to go was a bit of a last minute thing, in the sense that Las Vegas was bound to sell out due to the hosting of AVN, CES and BondCon all at the same time.

As a result, we had to settle for staying at the best hotel that "nearby" Vegas had to offer.

Fortunately it was close enough that we were able to return back to the hotel for all the clothing changes between events. This was a good thing, since many of the fetish/bondage models were changing outfits on the hour throughout the day.

As soon as we pulled up to the Stardust on the first day, we ran into several of our good friends from San Francisco. Then we started meeting dominas and models that we knew from Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland and elsewhere on the West Coast. This was all before we even entered the convention. It seemed like everyone who first arrived was from the left coast, and soon after we saw people from all over the country.

Once inside we quickly decided to divide and conquer. I was fortunate enough to choose the aisle that featured, the always stunning, Dita Von Teese, who was readily available for autographs and friendly conversation.

The booth next to her featured incredible pictures of Dita and other models from World of Pinup. The prices for these were all reasonable. As a matter of fact, we found great deals on lots of products at the event including art, toys, videos and fetish wear...especially shoes from LederMeister.

Just across from Dita Von Teese was our friend Stacy Burke. Bouncy and radiant, the blonde bombshell was signing autographs, posing for pictures, selling bumper stickers and giving away much needed pens for attendees. Stacy was also found at several of the vendor booths being tied up/down, and generally sharing her Southern California Sunshine through the halls.

Furthering down the aisle brought me to the folks at Barely Evil and Gothic Sluts. I finally got to meet the person who came up with the name Barely Evil... which I still can't say without laughing. Their booth had several of their gothic/fetish models signing pictures and providing information about their Websites.

At the end of the hall was a stage where various BDSM demonstrations were performed throughout the weekend. These were pretty incredible and featured some of the best models, subs, and Dommes in the business.

The entire weekend also found play scenes going on with vendors showing their wares and those who wanted to participate. There were a few pony boys and girls being paraded around and one pony in particular being trained by a domina with a crop. There was also a magnificent pony parade with fetish model Sadie Belle as the lead pony. Even with the mouth harness, her girlie giggles were still intoxicatingly heard throughout the hall.

In addition to being the lead pony in that parade, Sadie was a non-stop seductive modeling machine. Somehow she managed to constantly be wearing a different outfit and could be found being elegantly tied and gagged by many of the vendors with rope.

Speaking of rope, our friend Midori was there from San Francisco. Her book, The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage was available for sell, which pleased many people who had been looking for the temporarily out-of-print book.

Also available at the booths were representatives from DDI, Skin Two, Marquis and Spectator. This was a good place to purchase any back issues that might have been missed.

Of course editorially, these magazines also had representation, as did Hustler, ShowTime and various others in the industry.

Hours later and the first day of the convention was over. We barely had time to grab hot dogs... Ok, here it is. The one little thing that sucked about the convention... No sauerkraut was available for the hot dogs. Being German, this would simply not be acceptable for Erika.

Fortunately the cocktail party, sponsored by Ashley Renee had plenty of good food, as did the cocktail party on Saturday.

The cocktail party was well attended by many fabulously attired Dominas, Dommes, subs and models. Of course the outfits worn by the performers were also incredible.
