Stormy Leather was voted "Best Leather Shop" in the SF Bay Guardian 27th Annual Readers' Poll, just as the company turned 18 years old at the beginning of August 2001.

Stormy Leather takes pride in its excellent customer service, and in a recent survey, both staff knowledge and helpfulness were rated "Excellent". Their products are specialized and therefore need to be presented (particularly for the novice), in an informative but relaxed manner.

It's not unusual for a staff member to spend a great deal of time with a customer helping them to make the right choices. They believe that their customers deserve the best service possible. In addition, they place a high emphasis on educating our customers, whether it be in SM toys or bondage equipment or care of fetish clothing.
